Kenya Samburu Village

Samburu Village & Treetops Hotel, Kenya – 2006. After our stay in Shaba we visited a local village just outside Samburu National Reserve and then drove to Aberdare National Park in the central highlands of Kenya where we stayed at Treetops Lodge for one night.

The village blacksmith. He made metal jewellery, spear heads and a variety of other small items from scraps of salvaged metal.

This is the Outspan Hotel in Nyeri. On the grounds of the hotel was a cottage called Paxtu (It’s now a museum) that belonged to Lord Robert Baden-Powell.
